Well, Lord Thundering!

Well, we had a little thunderstorm this evening and having just figured out how to record sound with video on my camera, I thought I would take this opportunity to share! I am so excited! Of course, then I got frustrated trying to get it to load to blogger, but I think it is working.

So, after the short lived storm...lots of noise, not much rain, there were some very nice clouds that I went and took stills of.

Now that it is warmer, of course, I can't go outside without letting Sibu out. He wants back in two seconds later, especially if there is another tenant around. But, he likes to chew his grass...this looks like he is saying something like "Take this off! It's stuck!" Click to enlarge.

So we went for a walk and I videoed ? some more, but I am trying some editing which I have never done before, so I won't get it up until tomorrow at the earliest.

If anyone has any ideas how to get a video (it was an old home movie on VHS) from DVD onto my computer so I can edit it, I would really love to hear from you.

That's it for today, I hope the video works.

Have a good day all.

Was that the storm that flooded other parts of the city? Mother-in-law saw something on the news on Tuesday night about the flooding (I missed it)
Gee, it was strange to hear your voice on there - guess it's been awhile since we spoke!!

Very pretty pictures!

Thunderstorms still scare me a little--I grew up in an area that very rarely had them, so now that I live somewhere that gets quite a few, I'm always afraid that lightning's gonna strike me personally, even when I'm indoors. Can it find it's way through the plumbing or phone lines? I sure hope not.

I love storms. As long as nobody gets hurt or anything like that.

Cool video. More videos! I love videos and seeing where people live and stuff like that!

Nothing like watching a storm come in, even if nothing much comes of it!

Sis, the storm that did the flooding was the night before (Tuesday), we got a nice rain, but the area by WEM and St. Albert flooded. Yeah, it's been awhile.

FC, thanks, I am fortunate to live in a fairly open area of the city.

Crabby, it is always best to avoid being on a land line phone, or doing dishes, bathing, showering etc while a storm is overhead. My apartment is so old, I don't take the chance with the plumbing. Newer buildings are better wired & plumbed though.

Thanks Jay, I'll see what I can do.
You should go see some baby calf videos at my sister blog - the bag lady.

BG, I agree, I love the shows that mother nature puts on for us.

Gorgeous cloud stills. Thanks so much for posting them.
Our speakers aren't so great so much as I enjoyed the video the audio was somewhat muffled.

I love storms too. And I agree that Sibu is funny. That critter's facial expressions crack me up. Nice to hear your voice, Reb!
