I'm still here

It has been a little busy the last few days. I haven't gotten anything done on the sewing project, but, just yesterday, I figured out how I can alter the pattern for now to accommodate my two very different sized girls. I will be drawing out a new pattern tonight and hopefully will have time to sew it over the weekend. I think once I have shed a few pounds, that I will be able to go back to the original project and adjust it to work around the hole it has. So, good news there!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More, even better news!
My creepy upstairs neighbour has moved to a different building! *happy dance* (same complex still) I didn't realize how much better I would feel and I haven't even seen much of him since the last incident I blogged about. I will be able to enjoy going outside again next summer!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tomorrow is All Hallows Eve, ghosts and goblins will be trick or treating. Adults will be giving out candy to the little beggars that come to their doors. Do you make them sing for their treats? and count the number of kids? If the kids are taller than you do you still give them candy? what if they aren't in any sort of costume? Do you dress up to scare the kids?

All this stress for one night a year!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not only is it Halloween, it is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I would like to thank each and everyone who showed support or donated time or money to the cause. A few posts this month have brought tears to my eyes and a few have made me realize just how lucky I am. Thank you all!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Glad Mr. Creepy moved, Reb. I feel better. I can only imagine how good it is for you.
I just hand out the candy and hope they like it and don't consider any tricks for later.
good to hear that Mr. Weirdo McCreepy moved out.
No handing out candy here. I only get one or two anyway, so it's not worth buying bags of candy and stuff for. That candy is expensive!
I'm glad the creepy guy moved out in time for creepy night.
We have about 60 to 100 kidlets each year (though last year.. not too many showed) and I tend to blow out the pumpkin candle and turn off the lights when the doorbell-ringers arrive with deep voices or smell of cigarette smoke, or suggest we give them everything that's left because it's late. Any or all of the above.
I'm also glad to hear that creepy guy moved... although creepy neighbors can sometimes make good material for writing stories! As far as trick or treaters, we haven't had any in several years. My wife always buys tons of candy, just in case, and we end up eating it all ourselves.
We've never had any trick or treaters---we don't have any sidewalks or lights and folks would almost have to drive from house to house.
#1 daughter is going to a progressive party in NYC which involves riding the subway in costume
#2 daughter has a party to go to, then a sleepover with a friend
My husband and I are going to some friends' house. The kids are all either grown or doing other things. We'll have the opportunity to hang out with old friends.
Woohoo, no more creepy neighbour! Glad to hear he's not close by anymore.
And I shall hand out candy to the 2 kids who manage to convince their parents to drive them to our house. And I'll hope that no-one decides to play tricks out here....
Oh, Leah, I am so relieved to have him gone! Kids don't come to the apartment, so I usually go to my friends.
Jay, you're right it is really expensive. It is so nice to have him gone.
Hilary, the timing couldn't have been better! Yeah, the voice drop is a bit of a give away isn't it?
David, if only I could write! It is much better to have him gone though. Maybe if she didn't buy any, you would get some kids come by! ;)
Debra, that's how kids get around these days, mom drives the car and dad goes door to door with them, such a sad state.
Sis, that means you only bought two regular size bars right? ;) Yes, I am much relieved to have him gone.
Hoop and I stayed up until 11pm last night putting together our cannibal kitchen. I love Halloween. I love the costumes, the kids, the candy, and of course the spookiness of it all.
Hooray! Creepy neighbor is no longer there!
We don't get trick-or-treaters. No sidewalks, no street lights, and hardly any young children in the neighborhood. My 2 youngest will dress up and we're going with friends in a different neighborhood.
The kids sing SONGS there??
Reb said...
Mizfit, thank you. Very kind of you to say that.
Gary, is that so you can keep it all for yourself? Me too!
Tink, I think your cannibal kitchen is a wonderful idea. I will miss not seeing kids this year, I'll be working and by the time I get to my friends place, they will mostly be done.
Kcinnova, I am so glad too. Yes! Well, at least at my friends place. If they don't yell "trick or treat", or "Halloween Apples" (just ring the bell), she makes them sing, she will take any song, but there are words or a rhyme at least to "Halloween Apples"
Glad you feel more comfortable!
Thanks Janet, it is such a relief.
We gave out tons of candy and mostly to adorable little ones :)
Hope you have a good weekend.
Reb said...
Thanks Dianne. The little ones make it all worthwhile don't they?
Hope you had a wonderful halloween! If I would have had even ONE trick or treater, they would have gotten a bounty of candy.
Sadly, not a one.
Yay for creepy guys moving away. Ick!
RLL, thanks. Most of the children in my city get taken to the malls and community centres. Not many go door to door anymore. Sad in a way. So, glad he's gone!
So glad your creepy neighbor has gone. Someone like that can make life difficult.
Halloween was a bit of a flop round here. The two little girls from next door have moved so no one came this year. The girls always used to bring a party of friends. Most of the other kids about are getting a bit old for it and go off into the township where there is a bit more "action"!
So - I was prepared - no one came - so I scoffed it all the next day!
Dawn, thanks, it is a relief to have him gone. Murphy's Law says that next year if you don't have anything, you will get a lot of kids though.
