Tuesday, again! That means time for the Weekly Word Challenge hosted by the oh so busy Tink over at Pickled Beef. If you would like to join in the fun drop by and she will give you all the details.
This weeks words are AGE & BEAUTY and I didn't get out much this week, so I have resorted to my archives. Obviously a couple of these I did not take, unless I was a professional photographer in a former life - no, even that wouldn't work for a couple.
Actually all of these meet the requirements for both age and beauty, so I'll let the viewer decide.
This is my paternal great-grandfather.
My paternal grandmother (at age 16).
Wedding photo of my paternal grandparents.
Age 11 months (me).
Almost three!
Rocky Mountains (circa 1988)
Waterfall - same trip in '88
When it's springtime in the Rockies (Banff, maybe '86?)
There was no snow when we left Edmonton, all that dumped overnight.
Sharing a cabin with 4 adults, one teen, one cat and this dog.
But we got to whoop and holler at the army boys as they went back and forth practicing maneuvers.
If you would like to see more WWC photos, you can drop by our Flickr Group site.
Have a good day all.
P.S. Sis, Cousin, feel free to correct me if I am wrong about those photos.

Cousin, I love that photo of you at 11 months. You looked so serious.
Love the ancestor pics. Thanks for putting those up as part of the challenge.
Where is the waterfall?
oooohh, what a cute little baby!
Great photos, Reb.
Does the photo of our grandmother qualify in both categories?
I think the brother in the photo with you is actually the 'other' one... but I don't have my contacts in. :)
I absolutely ADORE old pictures. That one of your paternal grandmother is awesome! Thank you for sharing. :)
Those are great! I love old family photos. I've got a bunch of them in a plastic container under my bed. LOL
Maybe I should get those out sometime. ;-)
Leah thanks, I was probably verging on crying though. I can't remember where the waterfall is sorry.
Gary, yeah and now look at me!
Sis, thanks. Of course, She was beautiful. Yes, that is our ex-pat brother.
Thanks Tink. I like that one too.
Jay thanks. Yes you should. I had great fun restoring these and some others.
wow, your grandmother looked like a modern day girl in that shot...minus the old fashioned clothes, that is!
Janet, thanks. It's funny what goes around, comes around.
Wow, you have some lookers in your family. That picture of your great grandmother is beautiful.
I love old photos! A pouty baby you were (at least at that moment). Thanks for the (your) memories! (hmmmm...that would look better if I had strikeout capabilities for comments...)
Why thanks Knight!
Kcinnova, I wish I had those capabilities too. But, I looked so excited at three!
Wowww! I love the old photos and I love B&W in general... Fantastic!!!
Thanks Aunt J!
Love the old photos, as well as the beautiful scenery! Great job on both "age" and "beauty".
Thanks Crabby. It is slow going getting all my old photos on the computer, but I think worth it.
Reb,
Great pictures. I wish I had those kind of family photos.
Terrie
Thanks Terrie. I'm sorry you don't have any old photos.
I love vintage photographs, and yours are so lovely...everyone always looks so grand & stately, very romantic. Even the ones of my family from the Depression era, when they had so little, come across as elegant.
Cute Baby Reb...even then you looked like a spitfire :P
Thanks Jo. You are right, they look much more prosperous than they were.
