Photos from the Ranch

Last week, as you may remember, I went with some friends to visit my sister the Bag Lady, who ranches a bit further North in AB than where I live. These are just some random photos I took around the ranch before we got soaked walking through the pasture meeting the cows.

I found this weed pretty. Purple Loostrife

It has been a bit wet.

Apparently this is a noxious weed. Or not

As I said, a bit wet.

This is from her Clematis.

A lone Viola, still blooming.

Remember, I said wet.

A lone sentinel in the pasture.

I couldn't leave you without a calf.

I think this is Pegasus. Sis will correct me if I am wrong though. Yes, it is.

Thanks Sis! I just remembered to put in the link too, I think I got distracted earlier.

Have a good day all.

Love the fuzzy weed. All the pics are good and I see you're fond of mushrooms.

After all the rain we got last week I though there would be mushrooms sprouting up all over. But, I didn't notice any.

Love that fuzzy weed too!

Reb - yes that is Pegasus (and too funny how his "now" photo ended up practically right beside his "baby" picture in your sidebar!)

The fuzzy weed is Purple Loosestrife gone to seed. That tall thing, I'm not sure what it is. It was actually the little yellow-flowered things beside that one that are the noxious weeds....I think.... not really very good at identifying "things", am I?

Leah, thanks, I like that one too. Only to photograph.

Jay, give it a little time. Thanks.

Sis, I noticed that too! Oh, well, that one might be too - lol.

Dianne, thanks. I thought the colour was interesting.

Terrie, thanks. I know, I couldn't believe the size of them all!

But was it WET? ;)

Your mushroom pics are amazing.
I love how you can look at weeds and fungus and see the beauty.

Wow, these pictures are so sharp and clear and well-composed!

It's really cool to watch you get more and more accomplished as a photographer.

Mine often come out blurry and off-center, so I confess I'm a bit jealous.

Thanks Kcinnova. By the time we walked through the pasture and saw the cows we had been rained on a bit, I got the photo of the bull for WWC and then it poured. You don't run through pasture with cows around, so we were soaked when we got back.

Crabby, thanks so much! I'm sure if you just took more time with the camera yours would be great.

Thanks Gary!

FC, thanks matey! Arrggh, Pegasus is cute isn't he?

(OR, Reb, I could just fling the flippin' green tomatoes at people as they try to walk by my house....)

I totally agree with Crabby.. you're getting more and more accomplished as a photographer all the time. I love your shroom shots. We've been seeing a number of them around here too. Very colourful stuff.
