WWC Opening Spring

Tuesday is the most fun day of the week for me. I get to show you how I interpret the words the Tink assigns and see how others have interpreted them. You're in for a treat this week *snicker*! The Weekly Words Challenge this week brings us the words Opening and Spring.

Click to enlarge if you dare. mwahahaha

Oops! I should have cleaned the fridge before I took this shot of me opening the door.

Obviously I need two hands to shoot too. By opening this door, the photo is a bit blurry.

Opening this door was easier, I opened it and held it that way with my foot - is that cheating?

Don't know who they are, but they have lots of openings in their van (and she stood up too fast, or you would have had a good butt shot too).

Nice fireplace opening. This is at the picnic area at Elk Island Park.

This works for both words - one of the many openings to the underground parking showing the signs of spring melt.

Another opening into the underground, showing spring icicles and I played with the colour. Just so you know the structure is about 40 years old and there used to be a tennis court on top which was never maintained. The drains underneath freeze every spring and with the melt from above, it turns into a skating rink down there.

Sure signs of spring are pussy willows.

Then there are the signs of spring that melting snow reveal, this might be Elk.

This is Bison's contribution to spring.

Then there is the other kind of spring and Sibu was quite fascinated.

Just because it is a slinky, doesn't mean it isn't a spring!

So that is this week....if you would like to join us, drop by and see Tink at Pickled Beef and she will set you up.

Have a good day

Lots of openings. The pic of the gloved hand opening the door could be part of a mystery. That person had on gloves cause he or she was going to murder someone!

Or maybe not. LOL

Great job on all the pics!

Thanks Jay, I just didn't want to leave my prints on the door ;)

Inspired as always, Reb. I love the spring melt you captured in mid-splatter and beautiful Sibu, fascinated with the Slinky. Great stuff!

Reb said...

Thanks Hilary, I was pleased with the mid splash too.

Good work with the spring melt splatter and I always enjoy a good icicle shot. Pussywillows are always a treat as is seeing your pussycat. The suspended Slinky was inspired.
And as for the elk and bison droppings, you're one sick hamster. I'm proud of you.

Loved the pussywillow shot, and the icicle.....

And I agree with cousin Leah - poop pictures!!!? I could fill my blog with pictures of poop in various stages! From frozen solid to fresh from the cow..... Okay, no more shit shots! I promise I won't post any pictures of poo....

Very clever with the slinky!! I really liked the water droplet, too cool. And a complete presentation with elk poo, well done.

I'm cracking up over the Elk and Bison's contribution to spring. Yes, I am a 10year old boy at heart!
Great pictures of all the melting ice too!

David, thanks!

Just for you Gary ;)

Leah, thanks! I wondered if everyone was just going to ignore my childish impulses about the poop.

Thanks Sis. Yeah, I got that out of my system...I get giddy and childish in the spring!

Janet, thanks. It was such a lovely day, there was really no need for the fire.

G-man, thanks. I couldn't resist the poo and was pleased at the water drop.

Frank, thanks. I try to have fun.

Karen, I think the spring brings out the 10 year old in us all! Glad you enjoyed.

Well done! Did Sibu just stare or attack the spring as my evil ones would have done?

Reb said...

Missicat...his head bobbed up and down, but opposite to the slinky...then he attacked it for a while.

Lol... those were great. I love the slinky spring. And I lust after that fireplace - how gorgeous.

I second what Jay said - I thought it looked like a murder mystery with the gloved hand!

Reb said...

Thanks Tink. I know, I'm so bad ;)

Thanks Fiwa, Isn't that fireplace something?

Great use of a different meaning on Spring! I didn't even think of that. :) Love Sibu! Wonderful entries this week.
