Must be spring!

Look at what I saw last evening!

Listening for worms.

And coming up with them!

You can see the worm wrapped around his beak if you click on the photo.

Then today, it is back to cold and miserable. Such is Alberta weather!

Good evening all.

Cool robin pics. My eyes aren't good enough to see the worm.

Cool pictures! I can't get shots like that because birds avoid our yard. If one happens to land, our dogs chase them out again.

you know, when you look at the map, you start thinking Edmonton is WAY up there, and probably kinda wintry

Great pictures. The picture of the worm wrapped around the robin's beak is fantastic!
Still haven't seen a robin here yet - doesn't mean they aren't here, but they might be hiding.
The ducks have been keeping warm in our hay bales.

Leah, thanks, It took several minutes for me to figure out that the beak wasn't just out of focus, that it was actually the worm, wrapped around it.

Tink, I know about that, my friends dog used to do that. Of course their cat does it now.

Gary, somedays it feels that way too!

Sis, thanks, I was too slow to actually get him pulling the worm (and freezing by then). Glad your ducks are warm!

Wonderful photos, Reb. I'm glad you're finally getting some indication that spring exists.

Thanks Hilary, so am I!

What a plump little robin! And there's grass! I wish I could send you 20 degrees...it was 100 today & a bit miserable b/c I haven't acclimated.

Oh Jo, that would be wonderful! Just the 20 degrees mind, 100 is too much!

Wonderful pictures. This is proof that spring is here and summer is a'comin'. Hang in there.

Thanks Terrie, it can't be long now!

Robins have been natural enemies of mine since I was little more than toddler.

My very first job, at about age 5, was picking and selling worms to my Dad's fishing buddies.

Those orange-breasted worm hoggers!!

Very cute bird pics! Sorry you had a false start on spring, but hopefully it will return before too long.

Poor Frank...imagine what they thought of you!

Crabby, thanks, we are always hopeful up here.

You have some crazy weather up there! I hope it warms up soon and stays that way for you.

What a great picture of the bird- when I try to take pictures like that I end up with a picture of a stump or just the grass. Your camera is pretty awesome but I think you definitly have talent as well!

Why thank you Emily! Our weather today is beautiful: 64F with a slight breeze. Of course they are calling for a thunderstorm (already) for tomorrow and then rain & snow mix for Wednesday!
