Time for a holiday?

It has been soooo frelling cold up here, I thought we could all stand a little beach time. Too bad, this is a close as we will get for awhile yet. I still might have to tweak a bit, but I think it is a nice change. Lets us all dream about sandy beaches and palms. Again, let me know if it is miserable to you as viewers.

I don't really have a post planned, so lets see what is on my computer for pictures. Ah this was fun. This is my parents, Dad trying on his old RCNVR uniform about 25 or so years after the end of WWII.
Pretty handsome sailor, no?

Of course 25 or so years does things to the body!

And for those too young to know, or from other countries, RCNVR: Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserves. Oh and we had a hell of a time getting him back out of it afterwards!

Good Morning All.

Hmmm... family photos aren't loading on my computer for some reason. But I love the island shot! Thanks for bringing a little fresh tropical breeze in this morning.

Crabby that's too bad, I am sure though that you will figure it out.

Thanks Leah.

Great shots, Reb. How come the Bag Lady doesn't have those?

I don't know, they were in the photo album that mom made up for me. You probably have pictures I don't have. I will e-mail them to you if you want.

Every time I see a man "sucking it in" it makes me giggle. Your dad still looked like he was in great shape!

Oh I love the beach pic, now if only I could be there...

Jo, that is part of what was so funny. He was almost turning blue in the face and trying to look so casual in the picture where he is sitting down.

Reb, sweetie, please forgive me for not coming in lately. My only excuse is my insane family, and that's a crappy one.

Anyhow, this is an SOS. I ran across a blog of a woman who's just finished her 1st week of 18 of chemo for breast cancer. She has three kids and she could use some emotional support.

Her blog is here: http://justjudge.blogspot.com/

I've left a message in her blog already today and I aim to keep checking in every day if I can.

My heart went out to this lady, Reb. She needs a bit of extra love in her life.

XOXO
