It's so weird - we don't seem to have too many gulls here by the Mississippi River. We're getting stingrays up from the Gulf escaping the oil spill and such, but no gulls. Perhaps the pigeons are too numerous?
Have you shown this bird to Sibu? And if so, any reaction? ;)

Even the gulls like barbecue.
Good one, Reb.
Have a great weekend.
Yes they do. Thanks Leah, you too.

Gulls have great things to teach us about being opportunists, don't they?
VL, I guess the gulls there can't be bothered to come away from the ocean ;) Sibu watches them, but doesn't try to chase.
Messymimi, yes, they sure do ;)
I wonder what that tasty morsel is that he's carrying...looks like it could feed his whole family!! Love it.
Thanks Cheryl. It looks like a sausage, or maybe a rib - it got stolen from him a few minutes later.
All I can hear is The Lion King’s Circle of Life. I shed a tear. That damn gull is eating better than me, by the way.
Scott, I know how you feel - about the gull eating better than you.
Reb-I saw the picture and I felt triumphant! Clever gull snags steaming weiner. But then you told me it was stolen from him. I hate weepy endings : (
Clare, it was a sad sight to behold!
better him than me!
lol Janet
Sharp photo.
And thanks for commenting on "The Great Whydini." Much appreciated.
Thanks David. I enjoyed it!
I swear this gull reminds me of Groucho Marx smoking a cigar
My mind is a scary scary place
Dianne, that is a great image ;)
