Random photos

This is from our day trip in September when we were looking for the Victoria Trail. We discovered that the same area had a self guided tour of churches ... many, many churches.

These two are literally on adjoining acres just a line of trees separating them.

I'm sorry, but I have to get the info packet from my friends in order to identify them for you beyond, this is a Catholic church and the other is a Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

This little guy was either looking for a handout, or for someone to open the door for him to scamper inside.

Didn't see Quasimodo anywhere.

Yes, the sky was that blue.

That's all, I just wanted to post something this week, I will do my best to get names and more of the photos up of that day trip soon ;) In the meantime have a look at the links if you like.

Have a good day all.

I'm betting that little guy knows he's photogentic.

Wonderful pictures, sis! It was nice to see the green grass, and that church is gorgeous!

Beautiful pics. Maybe the squirrel was expecting payment for posing?

Gorgeous photos! I just love looking at old churches. That little squirrel is adorable, too.

Wow, gorgeous shots Reb! The architecture in the first church is amazing. I’m taking a little side trip to Paris over Christmas, and I’m hoping to see and take pics of (I’d say shoot, but that would make me sound talented, and I’m not) a bunch of ancient churches.

The pure azure of that last shot is unbelievable. I rarely get to see such a magnificent shade even in Spain.

You on the other hand are very talented!

David, he surely does ;)

Sis, thanks. I thought the green would be appreciated.

Thanks Leah. Probably, he gave me enough poses.

Thanks Cheryl, you would love the tour then.

Scott, thank you. It is a learning process for me too. I can't wait to see your photos!

Dianne, we think he maybe was looking to set up for winter.

Thanks Jay. It is a pretty cool church.

The picture of the bell tower reminds me of the missions of the American Southwest.

I'm glad you posted these today!

Thanks Kcinnova.

All fine shots, Reb. I spent a lot of time at a Ukrainian Catholic church while growing up and attended a couple of services at a Russian Orthodox one. There's a distinctly different ambiance there, than in the Roman Catholic churches.

Although I no longer attend any church for spiritual reasons, I'm still a fan of them, and am often disappointed to be met with locked doors when I want to pop in and take a peek.

I guess maybe I'll have to schedule my peeks for Sundays, eh?

Thanks Frank. Yes, Sundays is a good time to see a church ;) Sad sign of the times though.

That's possibly the bluest sky I've ever seen! Perfect for a rainy winter day.

Crabby, that is very often the colour of the sky around here ;)
