Rain, rain, go away

This is after only a couple of minutes of rain yesterday!

That is under the pine that is outside my patio, the place that barely ever gets moisture. We have had so much rain the ground is crying "enough!".

Although I guess we are still pretty lucky, we aren't flooding yet. There are places that need it more than we do now though.

This is this afternoon and I just heard a very loud crack of thunder...so here we go again.

Have a good day, I hope you have just enough moisture where you are.

I love that moody, middle pic. It looks like we're being invited for a walk in the rain.

The ground is pretty saturated here. I'd love to send the rain clouds as a care package to the parched parts of the province.

Yes, a walk in a gentle rain is nice, if you aren't getting too much.

Your puddle picture is reminiscent of lots of places around here. We tend to get a lot of standing water.

Thanks Leah, but that rain was coming down so hard, you'd a been soaked through in a minute. Me too!

Messymimi, thanks. This wasn't a gentle walking type rain. I think this is the first time in 6 years that I have seen standing water there too.

Nothing quite like a thunderstorm in the prairies. We could do with a three day rain in Toronto. Looks like you had a torrential downpour, Reb.

Rain! You should come an experience here in New Delhi. Just a ten minute rain can make the traffic of the entire city go bizarre

It is parched here. We need rain, but not right now.... it's haying season, and we don't want it to rain on the hay that has been cut down and is supposed to be drying.
We could have used the rain a month ago, as the yield from the hay is not great.

I know how much rain sucks; I did live in Pgh for the first 27 years of my life. But right now I’d pay for some. It’s 104 degrees and won’t rain a drop again until October…agh!

Thanks Barbara. Yes, after a three day rain, we have had several days of afternoon thunder showers.

A.K. I can well imagine the havoc there with rain.

Sis, I know! Such a weird year for weather.

Scott - UGH! I'd send some, but then it would probably flood or something and you'd blame me ;)

we had a ton of rain this time last year...not so much now!

Janet, we've been in drought conditions for a number of years now, so I really shouldn't complain.

I love that yellow chair next to the flowers, out under the pines. In less wet weather, I imagine it is a lovely place to sit!

It's difficult to get exactly the right weather. Last year Seattle was having a record heat wave; this summer they are wet and cool, and it feels unlike summer at all.
Just think of how green and pretty everything is with this moisture!

Karen that is so true. It is nice to have broken the drought, but we're done now.

We're in need of a bit of rain. How about sharing?

Sure and you can have your humidity back!
