The time has come...

to add the hated word verification to the blog. My apologies all, I hate it as much as you do.

So, these are what I have to wear wrapped around my arm - every day.

This is what it looks like after I take them off.

Five days left! Then we order me a new sleeve to wear every day for the next six months and do it all over again.

Have a good day all ;)

Keep the faith as they use to say.

Here’s to your arm and my ass….salud! I don’t know if you’ve ever read The Secret, but my wife has it and I’ve been reading the chapter on ‘health and healing’ every morning and it does seem to be helping….at the very least with my attitude about it!

Totally hear you on the word verif.
Meanwhile, is the mummy wrap forever? Or is there an end in sight?

May you heal well and thoroughly.

Glad to hear the end is in sight for the wrapping. And the new sleeve will be what colour? :)

I hear ya on the word verification - it's too darned bad that we need it.

Oh no! Not word verification!!!

Well, if you must. I'm getting spam on old posts, but not on new ones. So I'm still holding out on my blog.

I'll drink to your arm tonight. ;-)

David, thanks.

Scott, thanks. No I haven't read it yet, maybe I should ;)

Leah, the mummy wrap is 5 days, then a sleeve again. It will get better when I quit smoking which I am working on.

Thanks Sis, not sure yet ;) Sucks, I know.

I don't mind your WV... heck, I don't even know if I have one (I probably do). Sometimes that sort of stuff is a necessary evil to keep away the UNnecessary evil from our blogs.

I'm sorry you've got to wear that stuff. It seems much worse than a word verification. (At least those sometimes make me laugh!)

Jay, it started that way for me...took about a month for them to catch up. Thanks for the drink ;)

Kcinnova, believe me, watching me eat with the wrap on is funny too ;)

I wish you more comfort, Reb. That can't be fun.. especially in warmer months.

If the spam you're getting is primarily on older posts, you can adjust your settings to moderate posts older than two weeks. That's what I do. You can then reject your spam (or approve a legitimate comment) directly from the email notification.

Hilary, thanks. I have been doing that, unfortunately they have found the new posts now :(

it must feel so good when you take if off for a bit and you feel the air and water

I remember my damn foot cast, that was awful

feel good :)

Dianne, yes, it sure does!

i dont know, the texture thing looks kinda cool (in an art photo way). but it's good to get something new that makes comfort and daily life much better

Reb said...

Ben, I thought it was cool too - in an art sort of way ;)

It'll be worth the discomfort if it helps get you back to tip-top shape. I'm fortunate in that I only need to wear similar sleeve/braces when fishing.

What I'm trying with the spammer brigade is requiring moderation on posts older than two or three weeks. So far, it's cut down on it quite a bit.

Frank, it certainly is! I tried that first, it worked for about a month.
