WWC: Arch & Purple

Well, I am still stuttering along with the old computer. I found the receipt & it has one year warranty, now all I need is someone to drive me to the shop. I don't think strapping it to the back of my bike is a good idea, it would either fall off, or just the bouncing from the cracks and potholes would do more damage. Or I would fall off and hurt myself and the computer.

It is Tuesday however and time for the Weekly Word Challenge. This weeks words are Arch and (my favourite colour) Purple. Click on any to enlarge.

This is a pair of purple holographic earrings that are sparkly.

One of my (many) favourites of Mom's paintings has many overtones of purple.

My purple satin robe.

The Delta Inn has purple on it.

A very purple truck.

My arch, in purple.

This shot arched perfectly into the net.

Gracefully arching branches frame the setting sun.

A cute little arching bridge on this play set.

Some gracefully arched lights adorn this building and it's patio.

I hope you enjoyed today's submissions. If you would like to see more the master list is on my side bar. If you would like to join in the fun, visit our lovely hostess Tink @ Pickled Beef and she will set you on the path.

Have a good day all.

Beautiful arches.. including that purple one. Great interpretations.. yours are always unique.

Is that a painting your Mom did? Either way excellent and good solid arch on your part. :)

The arched lights pic is fantastic. I think you did an amazing job with it. The trees and sun frame is another wonderful pic, but I've got to say the robe pic is what really struck me. The folds in it form an eye and that was very well executed.
Good on ya, again.

Glad that you were able to reach the internets. I hope you can get your other machine fixed soon. (you reminded me of the time I took a spill on my bike while holding on my buddies boom box, it was ugly)

I especially like the painting, the robe and the trees.

I like to see that we had some of the same ideas. Well done!!

I think I have a lot less purple in my life than everyone else. haha

As always lots of clever and unique ways to say the words, Reb!

Hilary, thanks.

David, yes, she was very talented. Thank you.

Leah, thanks so much. I took a few of the robe messing it this way and that, but I liked the eye one best.

G-man, I am so clumsy these days I don't dare take it on my bike. Thanks.

Jay, thanks. Not everyone likes purple.

a really beautiful series of photos Reb!

purple is my favorite color too

Your robe is hot stuff ;)

and all the arch photos are so graceful - did you shoot that basket?

Reb said...

Thanks Dianne. No, I was walking past as a trio of youngsters was starting to play.

Oooh pretty shiny sparkley earrings. I likee. Oh did you post something else too. Sorry I am easily distracted by the shiney!

Nice earrings, Reb, and I am trying very hard to not covet your robe. You have a creative mind - you came up with so many arches that I didn't even think of! And now I know where you got your creative gene from... your mom had TALENT!

{I think you asked if one of my pics was forget-me-nots, but it wasn't: they are much smaller.}

Nice foot arch! Mine used to do that...not so much anymore :-)

These are great! I love those earrings and the purple satin shot is perfect. The tree arch is also lovely. Really well done this week, girl. :)

Thanks Karen, I get distracted by shiny too.

Kcinnova, thanks. Yes, she was very talented.

Thanks Janet. You may have noticed the toe was pushed against the desk? I thought about using my orthotics too ;)

Thanks Tink, I really like purple so it wasn't hard ;)

Actually, that truck is cobalt blue. I had one just like it. Used to annoy the hell out of me when guys would come up to me and say, "Purple truck, eh?"

YellowRose said...

Beautiful choices!! LOVE the arched tree shot! The purple robe shot is amazing also! Nicely done!

Reb said...

Ha, Gramps, they just called it that so it could be registered - vehicle databases don't allow for purple, I had a deep amethyst Jeep and had to register it as dkblu ;)

Yellow Rose, thanks. I liked the way the trees came out.

Well done, sis! Love all the shots, but the arched lights are very cool. And purple is one of my favourites, too, so love all the purple pictures.

Good job.

It's amazing to watch you get ever more skilled and artistic with your photos. These are winners!

Reb said...

Thanks Sis! I know you love purple as much as I do.

Crabby, thanks. Good to know I am improving!

I love those earrings. Sparkly is my favorite word.

The painting by your mom is beautiful - do you have more?

Reb said...

Thanks Fiwa, me too. Yes, I have so many I haven't enough walls to hang them on.
