AArrgghh!

My new computer has crashed! Please cross your fingers that this old one will last until I can get it fixed! On the other hand - good thing I hadn't sold or cannibalized this one yet! I am just hoping the new one can be fixed without losing any of the photos taken over the last few months. Yes, you read that correctly - I haven't saved them anywhere but the computer, so I'll be screwed. Some I can retake, but, I had some wonderful shots of clouds from the other day that I did a good job on. Oh well.

The ironic thing - I found a job that I wanted to apply for and the next day, before looking for my resume, the horoscope said something about not planning any changes to your job today. I shouldn't have gone looking for my resume, that's when the computer crashed!

As this thing is slower than the second coming and not very reliable, I probably won't be visiting many blogs for the next while. The good thing, I am pretty sure the computer had a full year warranty.

Have a good day all.

Sorry to hear this. It must be beyond frustrating. I am sure it'll all be covered. In the meantime I believe Mercury's in retrograde. DO NOTHING. Seriously. Hide under your bed until it's over.

Thanks Leah - I will go back to bed now ;)

oh, Reb!! How frustrating! I hope your photos can be retrieved and your computer up and running under warranty SOON!

Now I'm a little worried about my non-backed up photos. I'll put it on my to-do list and cross my fingers...

Thanks Gary, I am pretty sure there is, I just have to find the receipt.

Kcinnova, from your lips...
Yes, back them up right away!

Well, that sucks! I hope you find the receipt and that your pictures can be saved!
Good luck, and hope you're up and running again soon!

Oh Reb, I'm sorry about your computer woes. I think I'll take this as a reminder though and back a few things up.

Thanks Sis, I know I didn't throw it away, but I have been cleaning!

Thanks Hilary. Yes, you probably have much more important stuff than I do on your 'puter.

I'll go ahead and say it: that sucks!

I only have my pictures on my computer and I know that's not too smart. I've started uploading them to Photobucket.com so unless the internet crashes, I should be ok.

I hope you have a good weekend

Thanks Emily. Good idea to have a physical backup too though.

Hope you get it sorted, Reb, without losing your images. And I know all about both crashed and slow computers!

Reb said...

Thanks Dawn. I hope I can get it fixed too.

Maybe you should go Unibomber and reject computers altogether.

I came by to read your MTM. (I semi-posted one today, but didn't label it as such.) Is your computer still giving you grief?

Hope it works out okay. My own Infernal Device has given me several fits over the years. I keep threatening it that I'm going back to pencil, paper and a slide rule but it doesn't care....

Gramps, maybe I should... oh, wait, no I couldn't do that!

Kcinnova, yes, I have to get it to the shop 1st and don't have a car.

Frank, it is awful how uncaring they are!
