What a difference!

In just a few days we have a lake out the back. Somewhere under there is a sidewalk. The lake extends almost all the way to the parking lot on the left.

This is what our covered parking looks like in the spring! The water in the mains underneath freezes and the melt from the roof backs up and floods it. This was after the company had come and steamed the pipes to get them flowing again and our maintenance guy had spread de-icer all over. You couldn't pay me to park under there.

Have a good day all ;)

That covered parking lot is awful.
Meanwhile your lake is beautiful in its own way.

Beautiful temporary lake you have there.

Thanks Leah, it is rather. What is appalling about the covered lot is the owners won't do anything permanently to fix it.

David, thanks. I think so too.

At least spring is finding it's way there. Sorry the owners don't find a nicer way to welcome it than neglecting the mess they make.

Messymimi, yes, spring is trying hard.

I'm glad we're past the icy part of spring here. But we've had our share of wet - mini lakes and all. Hang in there, Reb. Summer's comin'. :)

Wow.. not your average parking lot. I hope you're enjoying summer breezes before too long.

Thanks Frank, but we are getting a storm tomorrow :(

Hilary, it does that every spring. Glad I don't have to park there (even if I don't have a vehicle right now).

holy cow! My yard used to look like that when I lived in my parents' house. In fact, I think I have a picture of Wolf sitting in half ice/half water and just staring at me as if to say, um, a little help, please?

Janet, he was probably just enjoying the sensations ;)

It's those frigid temperatures. Every winter we had to put heat on our water pipes in the basement to keep them running Spring will soon be here and the flodd forgotten.

We experienced a real deluge yesterday, complete with lightning, thunder, and wind... but these photos make me glad that it wasn't a blizzard!

Karen, I am looking forward to a good thunder storm!

Barbara, that is true. After our latest snowstorm though :)
