Photo Finish Friday: Specs!

I have new glasses! I was told by the optometrist to try progressive lenses, that they would solve the problems I've been having with the screen being to far away to see correctly. Well, that problem is solved, however, the side to side vision will take a bit of getting used to - I seem to have to move my head to read a paperback. Very narrow field of focus, just the edges of the page are out of focus. Oh well, I am sure I will adjust eventually.

Oh, don't click to enlarge, that just gets scary ;)

Have a good weekend all.

PFF is the brainchild of my cousin Leah over at The Goat's Lunch Pail.

Yay! Cool new specs, Reb.
Progressives take some adjusting, but you'll get used to it before long.

Nothing scary that i can see. You look good, and so do the new specs.

I agree with messymimi
I didn't see anything scary

love the glasses

I had to return my progressive lens
I tried for the 2 weeks they suggested but never adjusted to moving my eyes
I was always moving my head and it was becoming a pain - literally
they told me half the people adjust and half don't
so I'm back to 2 pairs of glasses

oh - love the golden blonde in your hair

Thanks Leah. I'm sure I will be able to handle them eventually.

Messymimi, thanks. I really like that I can breath again, they are so light.

Dianne, thanks. I don't think I will have a problem with the up down, it is the side to side that will drive me crazy.

Looking good! Love the new glasses.

They look wonderful.. not much frame and so there's more face. They practically disappear. I hope you get used to them.

Thanks Jay.

Hilary, that is what I love about them, they are so light!

I lovelovelove my progressives. Since I groom dogs, I need to see at all kinds of distances (and from all sorts of strange positions!)

(Blogger kept telling my browser had cookies disabled, which it often thinks, but this time it took me three tries to convince it my browser was the same as ever.)

Love them! They look very nice, and I hope you get accustomed to them soon!
(I'm too lazy to change how I'm signed in but I'm sure you'll figure out who I am!)

Mary Anne, as soon as I stop getting dizzy and adjust I am sure I will love them too...in fact I already do 1/2 the time ;)

Thanks Sis. I'm pretty smart that way ;)

The glasses look great, Reb.

I'll let you into a secret - I've just got new teeth!

Thanks Dawn. Good for you, I hope they don't cause you too much trouble adjusting to them ;)

Thanks Knight, it sure does!

Scott, thanks. There are other pictures of me, but I guess it has been awhile since I put one up ;)
