My day lilies are blooming, tucked in under the amaranthus, they are hard to see...must remember next year to plant something else there.
This is the other trio of amaranthus - they fell over, so I had to go and stake them. They are not doing quite as well.
If anyone knows what that spider is, please let me know. I am not having much luck on the net finding it.
Have a good day all.

Love the day lily pic. Can't help you with spidey, but it's a really good, artistic photo.
Beautiful photos!
And I'd say the spider is a daddy long legs, but that's because it's one of the three spider names I know. And it's not a tarantula or a black widow.
The spider looks like a daddy long legs to me. They're about the only spider that I don't mind finding clambering about some part of my person. Must at least belong to the same sub-genre/species/whatever don't you think?
Nice shots, particularly of the lily. Well done. :)
SPIDER! AAAHHHH!! Sorry, that is my weak spot...SPIDER!!!! help!
Lovely flowers, though!
Leah, thanks, I love the day lily too.
Crabby, thanks. The colour is wrong for a daddy long legs, but it must be related.
Frank, yes, it must be related, but the colour is wrong. Daddy's are usually a light brown. Thanks, I really like the lily.
Missicat, that is how I usually feel, this one was safely ensconced on the plant though. The lily is my favorite.
Beautiful flowers but YUCK for that spider... though I have to admit, it looks cool in that pic. (shudder!)
*shudder* EEEEKKKK - how could you do that to me?! You know how I feel about spiders! EEEEKKKK
Love the daylily - that's gorgeous. And the Amaranthus is very cool! Have never seen that one before.
Thanks Hilary. I feel the same about the spider.
Yucky spider...to me the best spider is a dead spider (I know, I know, most spiders are actually ok but I don't like to take any chances!)
Sorry Sis! I am the same, I was just trying out the macro and then realized it is not your usual daddy long legs.
Emily, I am okay with them as long as they know their place - which happens to be no where in my house or on my person.
Yes, gorgeous photos! I have no idea what spider that is, but WOAH you have a green thumb!
I've only owned one plant in my lifetime and I killed it even though I tried really hard to make it stay alive. Now I'm scarred from owning more plants...
Such pretty flowers! The colors all tie in together--love the lily, it's one of my favorite flowers.
I've never seen a Daddy longlegs with such a fat, furry body...he does look cool but I wouldn't want him hanging near my window!
Mamacita, thanks. My green thumb only works outdoors. If I try to grow plants inside, they die - long painful deaths.
Jo, thanks, I love lilies too. I thought they looked more like spines, but who knows? I don't open that window often because the screen is torn.
What a great flower garden!
i would have peed my pants if i ever come across that spider!
arlene,
West Bremerton florist
That's a daddy long legs, definitely! The only kind I'm not really afraid of lol.
Thanks Gary. It is really just a little strip, but, I hope to make it more.
Arlene, I know the feeling ;)
Janet, it is just so different than what we normally see up here.
