Leah sent me this photo a few weeks ago and I have been wracking my brain ever since as to where the heck those rainbow flip flops came from. I am not a flip flop person and as I suspect that this was in the early '80's, I don't think I even owned a pair of flats back then. That is cousin Wayne in between Leah and myself. You can tell my legs hadn't seen the light of day in a long time too. Actually I look pretty pale all over next to Wayne.
Have a good weekend all.
PFF is ...well, this week it is all
Leah's fault (I didn't even take the photo).
Looks like you have a fun family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this, Reb. I believe it was 1985.
ReplyDeleteI have cousins my age -- 2 of them, brothers -- but I haven't seen them since I was about 2 years old.
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky woman, Reb, to have cousins that you actually know and have spent time with!
Fun pic. :)
Messymimi, thanks, yes fun is one word ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Leah, I think you are right.
Karen, I have about 25 or more on dad's side that I actually know and about 27 or so on mom's that I have met (most of them), maybe once or twice.
flip flops are in now so you were way ahead of your time :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pic :)

Hey, I remember that reunion! I have a very similar photo - the only difference is that instead of you in there, it's me! :)
ReplyDeleteYou both look great. Thanks for sharing the pic, Reb. (Btw I'd be afraid how pale I look today! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun find. I love looking at old photos of days gone by. I'll bet you borrowed the flip-flops in order to step out for the photo or something. If Baggie has a similar shot, I have to wonder which shoes she's wearing... ;)
ReplyDeleteDianne, I hate the thing between my toes so I don't wear them. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSis, I remember that you were in there too.
Thanks David. Yeah, I hardly see the sun without protection anymore.
Hilary, I was very pleased when Leah sent it to me. Sis has little feet, so did mom, so I don't know who I would have borrowed from. Maybe I did buy them and only wore them that weekend.
LOL it's funny when you see yourself wearing or doing something and you can't quite remember it :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay - the flip flops. We both had them - mine were blue, yours were red. I actually still have mine (yes, I AM a bit of a packrat!) and have worn them a couple of times over the years. I am like you, though, I don't like having that thing between my toes.
ReplyDeleteJanet, yes it is ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks sis.
