This weeks challenge is Warmth and Depth.
Depth
Why are fall colours warm? It is usually so cold!
Yep, that's it. Lame, eh? You can check out much better photos and interpretations by clicking on one of the links on the side bar. WWC can be found on blogs, flickr and now facebook.
Have a good day.
I think fall colors are warm to fool us into complacency before winter. Either that, or to keep us happy through those long, monochromatic months.
ReplyDeleteI had trouble with the 'L' shots. Lexus! Why didn't I think of that?!?
Not lame at all. Excellent shots. I like the "depth" pic. I'm guessing there's a troll hiding in the shadows! haha
ReplyDeleteWonderful interpretation as always, Reb. I love the Bingo/Get Smart quote.. you're so clever. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your depth shot.
ReplyDeleteKcinnova, you could be right. The "L" was just happy circumstance.
ReplyDeleteJay, thanks. That would make it a troll bridge.
Hilary, I tried a shot for "tomorrow is another day", but, uh, it didn't work :(
Thanks Leah, I was pleased with how that came out.
oooh I love your fall colors one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet :)
ReplyDeleteI know, warm colors, cold weather!
ReplyDeleteGary, it's just starting to get chilly now.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, sis!
ReplyDeleteLove the depth shot.
And thanks, Hilary - I totally missed the Bingo/Get Smart connection until you pointed it out! :)
Thanks Sis...can't believe you missed it...by that much :)
ReplyDeletenot lame!! lovely
ReplyDeleteI really like the 'depth' photo
beautiful light and shadow and composition
Thanks Dianne!
ReplyDeleteLove the tunnel shot. Spent a minute or two mulling why. Came up with several reasons that can't be posted on a family blog. ;)
ReplyDeleteBut one that can, is, like bridges, tunnels take us from one place to another. But tunnels are special in that each step towards the exit reveals a little larger peek at what lies beyond. Kind of like slowly unwrapping a gift.
The shot makes me want to see more of that tree that lies beyond the tunnel exit.
Good one Reb. :)
Frank, that is a great explanation. Now you have me burning with curiosity about the other one..oh..OH!
ReplyDeleteI agree, not lame at all, these are great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Crabby :)
